I graduated with a Degree in Photography
For this assignment, i was asked to create a portfolio of practical work based on research from other photographers, artists and organisations that are relevant to my own practice. For my final year I have decided to explore light pollution within our night sky, as a low light night sky photographer, the aim of my landscapes has always been to glorify the area I’m photographing. I’ve always seen light pollution as a problem and always tend to find a location where this issue will not be apparent within my images. Light pollution is a very real environmental issue, this is being tackled by the change of the familiar orange sodium glow to the newer L.E.D lights that ambit a cooler white/blue glow. My aim was to create a body of work that explores light pollution using other photographers as inspiration. These photographers were: Rut Blees Luxemburg Andrew Sanderson Henry Iddon Edward Burtynsky Gregory Crewdson
